Hello World

Hello everyone!

I'm trying to start a simple blog back again so that we can add stories here that we can look back and smile on. There was a period of time where I found it difficult to find time to write thoughts down but I realize what I don't write, I usually forget! So I'm going to do my best to put some highlights here as often as I can, and I hope you'll find it as meaningful as I did.

To start, please allow me to share with you a picture of my room as of February 2011:

My brother's room (not pictured) and mine have looked roughly like this ever since we moved into Melawati more than 15 years ago. Our rooms have been cozy, with ample pillows and toys and cool from good breeze.  However, due to old age and wear and tear, the tiles have started to come loose and the cupboard door hinges have broken.

Mum has decided that its time to get it all fixed. So we got some renovators in and over the process of 5 weeks fixed up our home pretty nicely. Its now much cleaner and neater now. We've got a simple roof at the back as well, which is really good for BBQs. Hehe. We've come a long way since this photo and I am truly thankful.

I am reminded that to have a comfortable home is indeed a blessing.
